How to Tell a Falcon From Other Raptors (e.g. Hawks / Eagles)

Compared to hawks/eagles, falcons often have long pointed wings, a slimmer, aerodynamically built body, and a specialized beak with a notch/tooth — rather than relying mainly on talons.

Plumage and size vary widely across species, but many falcon species show typical “raptor” features: strong curved beak, keen eyesight, streamlined wings.
